Adopting wife’s kids

Assalamo alaykom brother/sister;My name is Hicham, a Moroccan person. Some times ago I met a girl by net and God helped me make her a Muslim. But later on the relation dveloped that we are planning marriage now. I do want that very much going on the paths of our prophet; and I know my future wife has very diificult situation: she has two kids of unmarried marriages. She has two diferent kids with two different "fathers". I still accepet this because I know that turning again to Isalm cleans all the bad history, and my intention is so human that getting this marriage will help more people come to Islam esp her family.Anyway now i need your advice about parenting; I know that it's forbidden to say that someone is a person's son where is he is not in fact. But this is when the marriage is legal and halal. The situation is different here and the mother is a Muslim now, so -1- it is possible i give my name to the kids. 2- Can I accept to have the kids as my sons only as officially(only in papers); but legally and in Shri'a, I will not accept that and will all the time tell them am not the dad; and i will always take them to see the true"dad"(who are both addicts to drugs)Is this possible? Especially that this will help us gretly overcome lots of administration and bureacratique problems .In addition it may help make the kids more secured psychologically.the most important thi,g in all this is that i will abide by what Islam states even if it say no.I should be very grateful if you could or even could not help for we are all brothers. And i love you in Islam.Assalamo alykom

Should non-praying Muslim be killed?

As salamu aleykum!I have three questions about the policy in an islamic state, where the shariah is applied.1) In the mosque they told me, that the sentence " let there be no compulsion in religion" only applies to non-muslims, but inan islamic state every muslim has to pray and pay the zakat and do everything, that is fard, otherwise he should be killed.and some person told me that every person who does not pray and pay the zakat is to be fight against.and if a muslim does not pray he has to be excecutet.there proof is a hadith, where the prophet sais I have to fight everyone until he is a muslim and prays and pays the zakat.that confuses me, because we know that a good deed, is only good if you had the intent to do that.2) And my second question is about music, photography , television, internet and so on. Will it all be abolished especially music, you are one of the very few scholars or the only one who permit music. I think music is beautiful and something beautiful can only be a gift from allah to us, how can the devil make something beautiful. But I'm scared, that music will be abolished and every kind of modern technologies, like the taliban did.and that everyone is forced to pray otherwise he is to be killed.3) And while in the mosque I had a discussion and I said, that I have the information from your side, they told me , that I shouldn't listen to Qaradawi. Why is that so, why are so many muslims against you, I think your site trys to teach the real islam, except of some few points I totally agree with you and in my heart I know that your site wants to teach the real Islam. What should I do?Jazzakum Allah khairan

Teaching people how to use methods for day trading

Sallam Allaikum,I have 2 questions that I hope you will help me with. I appreciate all the good work that you are doing.1. I live in the west and I am a partner in a business with a non-muslim that is in the financial trading industry. We sell courses that teach people how to analyze financial charts to make buying/selling decisions. The industry term is "Technical Analysis" and it is something that is used in Muslim countries as well as western countries to analyze financial markets.Although the methods that we teach can be used to analyze any chart in general in addition to any stock whether sharia-compliant or non-sharia compliant, the focus of our business is currently on people that are involved in short term trading like day trading stocks, forex (currencies) and futures. The business sells 3 products:1. A technical analysis course that teaches investors how to analyze financial charts of any market whether sharia-compliant or non-sharia compliant.2. we also have a service that advises people of potential trading opportunities in the index futures market. We don't give specific buy or sell recommendations but we give market analysis using the methods we teach e.g. we tell people that there might be a trading opportunity in the afternoon around 3.00 PM but we don't tell them to buy/sell.3. We have online training sessions where show people how to apply the methods on the markets. The primary market is a day trading futures market and my partner who is responsible for trading, does sometimes day trade with his own money. From reading different opinions on the internet regarding day trading, I have learnt that it is questionable in Islam as opposed to stock trading which is permissible if the stocks are sharia-compliant. On a related note, there are companies teaching people day trading in muslim countries in strict countries like Saudi Arabia so I am not sure whether this means that the religious authorities in Saudi Arabia are OK with this or not.My question is this:Since the focus of our business is on teaching people how to use the methods for day trading (since this is the main market), am I doing something haram and if so, how can I change things so that I can have peace of mind that I am not doing anything wrong? Should I for example concentrate on teaching the methods to a general audience and its then up to them to use it on other markets and sharia-compliant or non-sharia compliant stocks or am I OK selling the course to people that are interested in day trading as long as I am not day trading myself? Should I only take profit from the services that would be OK with Islam.I have invested my own money in this business and it is what I want to do in the long term but how can I make sure that I go about this the right way? Do I only take profits from selling courses that don't teach people to day trade i.e. do I create a course that can teach people to analyze charts in general and then leave it up to people to use it at their discretion? The biggest problem is that the target market in the west is mainly non-muslims so in order for the business to continue to exist, the business needs to target people that day trade ( from a marketing point of view). Furthermore, I am the partner that is responsible for marketing.2. Is it permissible to make buying/selling decisions on stocks strictly based on technical analysis if the stocks are sharia-compliant? Example, an Islamic stock research company recommends a number of stocks that are sharia-compliant, can I analyze the relevant charts and make buying/selling decisions based on the charts? Also, would it be OK to only hold on to the stock for a few days or a few weeks? I understand that investing in stocks is permissible because it is looked upon as an (long term?) investment and I am not clear on whether this means that I can hold on to them as long as I am day trading or whether short term trading of a few days or weeks is also prohibited because it might not be considered "investment" and is just buying with the intention to sell once the prices fluctuate or the price of the stock appreciates in value.I should be grateful for your help and please accept my apologies for the long question. This issue has been really bothering me because I am worried that I might be doing something inappropriate. I have been as honest as I can in my description of my business and I hope that you will be able to give me advice.Jazakum Allah Khair

Father molesting son’s wife

AssalamualaikumI am married for the last 3 years. Have a 4 month child. She is a teacher in an Urdu school. She is maashallah a good muslimah with a great zeal for doing Dawah & Islaah especially in her school. In the last 3 years my Imaan has become much stronger. But there is a huge problem. Recently I told my Ulema friend about an incident that took place 2 years back. I feel ashamed to narrate what happened. My father once came to visit us & tried to molest my wife in the kitchen. She managed to throw him off without any harm. There was no one in the house at that time except my little sister who was in another room. She heard my wife scream. When she went to the kitchen everything had subsided by then. My wife narated this to me. I confronted my father about the same. Initially he evaded the topic but when my sister also put pressure on him he admitted & was remorseful. The matter was closed then & there. Although my wife now maintains a strict distance from my father. My father now hates her & tries his best to divorce her from me. Inspite of his charachter problem I still love him because right from my diaper days till my graudation he was concerned about me. But I am also fortunate to have a good wife. Now, the Maulana (Mufti from Deoband seminary in India) friend of mine told me that my wife is haraam for me. And the nikah is already invalid & hence my child is Haraam. All future generations till Qayamah from my child will also be haraam. And my wife for no fault of her is like my mother. He said that even if a person touches a daughter sexually even by mistaking her to be his wife (not out of any sinful intention but just by mistake) even then his wife becomes permanently haraam for him. Local imam here also has the similar view but with some difference - that if actaul zina had taken place then she would have been ha raam, but not in this case because actual zina did not take place. They quote the verses 22, 23 & 24 of Surah 4 - An-Nisa. I am going mad! Please clarify in the light of Quran & Hadith. I don't want to leave my wife neither do I want to commit haraam all my life. I have spent sleepless nights in the last few days. How can Allah be so unjust?PLEASE SEND A REPLY URGENTLY. I AM DESPERATE.

The cause of serial killing

As-salamu `alaykum. I recently read an article in the SSRF Blog (SSRF: Spiritual Science Research Foundation, www.spiritualresearchfoundation.org) with the title of "Serial killers ? a menace to society". (For details : http://spiritualresear chfoundation.org/aboutus/SSRFBlog.php )SSRF says that:"... Spiritual research has shown that the root cause for committing serial killing lies in the spiritual realm. The cause of a serial killing is 90% spiritual in nature, 10% psychological and 0% physical. What does this tell us? It tells us that the person committing serial killing has been under the influence of a higher-level ghost (demon, devil, negative energy etc.). In other words he was a medium used by a higher-level ghost to kill many people.Interestingly even the serial killers themselves mention that they have been possessed by a ghost during the act of murder, or that they felt someone else was guiding their actions, or that they were remote from their mind and body and just in some kind of numb observer mode, etc. All of these comments strongly point to symptoms of a demonic manifestation..."Question :Do you agree with SSRF that serial killers are mediums used by high levels ghosts? Do you agree with the idea of the serial killers do the crimes under the complete influence of the ghosts, so they do not have any will and control of their deeds? How realistic is this view and do you think this idea does agree with Islamic principles? Could ghosts totally take control and the will of a person, persons mind and make him/her a serial killer? What do you think about this article in general? thanks a lot. May Allah (C.C.) be with us.

Trading in off-plan properties

Al Salaam Alikum,I was wondering if someone can explain to me why or why not it its permissible to trade in off_plan properties. Here in Dubai many people buy properties off plan with a minimum down payment at what is called prelaunch or launch deals. i.e at the point where the developer declares their intention to build a development. To entice the buyers to purchase a property he then announces a prelaunch or launch deal where the buyer pays a small percentage of the property at a set price. The new buyer enters an agreement to buy the property on a payment plan where the full price of the property is paid over the course of the construction and the date of the payments is set either by time period ( 10% every three months for example) or by milestones ( X% when the building reaches Y number of floors) and the remaining balance is paid upon delivery. The property is then considered delivered and received once all the terms of the contracts have been fulfilled. To my limited knowledge I can't see anything wrong in the above but the issue where people are raising eye brows is when people enter into these kind of agreements with developers and sell these agreements on to the next buyer. So lets say there is an apartment advertised at prelaunch deal for $100,000 with a 10% down payment. I put in the 10% down payment and I sign the contract to pay the rest during the construction and development of the building over the next 2 years. But before the construction has even started the property value has changed ( according to new market prices) so I put up the property for sale although I have neither fin ished the payment nor has the building construction began.Legally speaking there is nothing stopping me from this practice. But asking around I get a variety of opinions on the permissibility of this practice. Please advice and Jazakum Allah Khyran.
