How Prophet Muhammad Performed Prayer?
As salaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh, I have seen different people do different actions while they perform their prayer. For example, some people hold their hands below their belly, some hold them on their belly, and some hold it on their chests (even the brothers) when reciting Al-Fatihah. Second, when some people go into ruku' and then stand back upright, they raise their hands up (just like takbir as its done at the begining of prayer) when saying allahu akbar, while most people just say allahu akbar without raising their hands. Another thing is that while in tashahhud, some people move their fingers up and down throughout, but most people just hold their hands still (except of course when saying the shahada). Lastly, also in tashahhud after the final ruku', I have seen people sit on top of their left leg. I have not been able to gather enough information from hadiths to make sure which way is the best to follow, because I only want to follow the sunnah. Therefore, can you shed some light on how Prophet Muhammad (saw) performed his prayer? In addition to that, do we say haiyya al assalaaah/haiyya al alfalah once or twice in the iqama? Jazakallah Khairan.
