The eminent Muslim scholar and renowned Da`iyah, Sheikh `Abdel Khaliq Hasan Ash-Shareef, states: “It should be clear, first of all, that a traveling person has a legal dispensation in not fasting while traveling and to make up for the days he missed after Ramadan.

However, If a traveller chose to fast, he/she has to abide by the timing of where they’re traveling to. Also, if he/she took Iftar according to the timing of the place they departed from, then he/she should repeat fasting that day.”
