Scholars of Islam, as-Salamu `alaykum. In praying while traveling, is it acceptable for us not to face the Ka`bah in Makkah?
Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. Do you think that a woman these days can travel without a mahram to attend conferences in foreign countries? And can she travel to these countries for study without being accompanied by a mahram? Jazakum Allah khayran.
Dear Sheikh, what does Islam say about traveling and living in European countries for any reason: educational, economical or others. I am now living in Pakistan, and most of the people now travel abroad because of some problems. Is this lawful?
I am a Muslim sister living with a non-Muslim family and so I don't have a mahram. However, I would really like to go abroad to study at Madina University and also learn Arabic, as I have been told that there are no authentic places in England to study. Can I go without a mahram? Some people say that you can travel with other women, but is there any evidence for that?
As-Salamu `alaykum wa Rahmatu Allah wa Barakatuh. In some time, people usually travel abroad for recreation and tourism. What do you think of Muslims traveling to a non-Muslim country for the sake of tourism and sightseeing?
What is the Islamic legal ruling regarding traveling in the daytime during Ramadan?
Dear scholars, As-Sa lamu `alaykum. What is the Islamic view on women traveling alone? Is having a mahram (a close male relative or husband) a prerequisite even if the woman can take care of herself and take necessary precautions? I am planning to attend an Islamic program in New York for two weeks but couldn't find a mahram or even a sister to come along. I have made the necessary arrangements with the organizer to even fetch me from the airport. My parents don't allow it because I will be away for more than three days and without a mahram. Can I still attend the program without my parent's blessings? By the way, I'm 29 years old. Jazakum Allah khayran.
Dear scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. Is it better for a traveler to break the fast in Ramadan or to fast? Jazakum Allah khayran.
Salamo 3alaykomMy question is about my husband who travelled 2 days ago from Egypt to Morrocco. His plane was after Fajr, so he intended to fast in Egypt and was supposed to have iftar in Morrocco after the time of iftar in Egypt with 3 hours. We asked someone and he said that he can have iftar with the time of iftar in Egypt as he intended here.and he didShall he repeat fasting that day?Jazakom Allah Khayran
Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. I understand that when traveling, the rules for Prayers for travelers only take effect after you leave your place of residency. However, what is the rule if you know that, for example, you are leaving your town after Zhuhr Prayer and will not arrive at your destination until Maghrib. Can you pray and combine your Zhuhr and `Asr while in your city at the time of Zhuhr? If not, what is the right thing to do? Jazakum Allah khayran.
