it is to be noted that all acts that aim at satisfying and pleasing the spouses are allowable so long as two things are avoided, that is anal sex and having sex with a wife while she is still in her menstruation or post partum bleeding. Allah says in the Qur’an,[And they ask you (Muhammad) about menstruation; say, “It is a discomfort.” Therefore, keep aloof from the women during the menstrual discharge and do not go near them until they have become clean] (Al-Baqarah2:222).
Even if the wife is in her menstruating period, it is permissible for the husband to enjoy his menstruating wife without having intercourse, because of the hadeeth of `A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) who said: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would tell one of us, when she was menstruating, to wear a waist-wrapper, then her husband would lie with her.” (Al-Bukhari amd Muslim)
