The eminent Muslim scholar and renowned Da`iyah, Sheikh `Abdel Khaliq Hasan Ash-Shareef, states: As a working muslim, we are permitted to wear socks after making wudu’ at home and then do mash (wipe over) socks at work. There is nothing wrong in this provided the socks are worn after making wudu’ and then do mash over them for new wudu’ at work.
