Almighty Allah orders Muslims to send peace and blessings upon the person of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He Almighty says: (Allah and His Angels send blessings on the Prophet; O ye that believe, send ye blessings on him, and salute him with all respect) (Al-Ahzab 33:56).
As for sending blessings upon the parts of the Prophet’s body, there is no such thing in Islam. Muslim scholars agree that this is an innovation in religion. The best form of sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon) is to say: “O Allah! Send Your peace on Muhammad, and on his kith and kin, as You sent Your peace on Abraham and his kith and kin; and send Your blessings on Muhammad and on his kith and kin, as You sent Your blessings on Abraham and his kith and kin, for You are the Most Praiseworthy, the Most Glorious.”
Dr. `Abdullah Ibn `Umar Ad-Dumaiji, a Saudi scholar, states the following: There is no doubt that sending peace and blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is one of the best acts of worship that draws one closer to Almighty Allah Who has ordained Muslims in the Qur’an to send peace and blessings upon the Prophet: (Allah and His Angels send blessings on the Prophet; O ye that believe, send ye blessings on him, and salute him with all respect) (Al-Ahzab 33:56).

Moreover, He Almighty has promised to send His blessings ten times on one who sends blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
The best and soundest form of sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is that referred to in the following hadith: Ka`b ibn `Ajrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: Once, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went out to us. We asked him, “Allah’s Messenger, we knew how to salute you; (and now we want to know) how we should (ask Allah to) send blessings upon you.” Allah’s Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, “Say: O Allah! Send Your blessings upon Muhammad and upon his kith and kin, as You sent Your blessings upon Abraham’s kith and kin, for You are the Most Praiseworthy, the Most Glorious” (Al-Bukhari, Muslim, An-Nasa’i, Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah, Al-Bayhaqi, Ibn Hibban, Ad-Darimei, and others).
There are other versions of this hadith that contain, for instance, the inclusion of sending blessings upon Prophet Abraham before “Abraham’s kith and kin” (such as saying “as You sent Your blessings upon Abraham and upon Abraham’s kith and kin”, and other versions that contain “Send Your blessings upon Muhammad and upon his wives, and his offspring as …”.
Anyway, all these versions are close in wording and authentic in narration; in fact, 42 Companions reported these versions on the authority of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
none of these versions ever contains anything to the effect that blessings may be sent upon the parts of the Prophet’s body as it is referred to in the question in point. This indicates that such eccentric form of sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is an innovation in religion that should not be adhered to.
