Women, like men, are obliged to call people to Allah and to enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil because the texts of the Qur’an and Sunnah, as Muslim scholars, indicate. So women should call people to Allah and enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil, following the guidelines of Shari`ah.

Islam does not restrict the women’s contribution to da`wah. It rather encourages both men and women to do their best in conveying the message of Islam in many ways. Since the dawn of Islam, women have played a significant role in spreading the message of Islam.

The prominent Muslim scholar and da`iyah, Zeinab Mostafa, states the following: It is great to work for Islam. You should discover yourself and figure out your best skill, and use it to benefit the cause of Islam. It may suit you to teach or to join an organization. Try to find the best way you can benefit Islam, and Allah will accept it you.
Since the dawn of Islam, women have played a significant role in spreading the message. The best example in this regard is `A’ishah (may Allah be pleased with her) who used to teach men and women alike, including the Companions of the Prophet. Umm Ad-Darda‘, the youngest wife of Abu Darda‘, used to teach men in the Umayyad mosque and the Caliph `Abd Al-MalikibnMarawan used to attend her lectures.
Islam does not restrict the women’s contribution to da`wah. It rather encourages both men and women to do their best in conveying the message of Islam.
