Islam has come to perfect the good morals. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported to have said, “I was sent to perfect the good morals.

Secondly, Islam has remedies for all forms of misconduct. For example, if one gets angry, then Islam teaches him how to overcome this behaviour. Islam prescribed remedy for the person when in a state of anger, asking him to perform Wudu’ which is a good way to put out the “fire” of his anger.
So, Islam as a divine religion has covered all aspects of life and at the same time it disciplines people’s morals and behaviours. If you reflect on the biography of those who converted to Islam you will find great difference between their characters and behaviours before and after their conversion to Islam.

Islam calls for patience, tolerance, mercy, truthfulness, honesty, etc. So, a Muslim has to adopt the Islamic morals and to train himself to be far away from misbehaviour and bad morals.

Prior to that, we stress on the roles of parents to bring their children upon the ethics and morals of Islam. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported to have said: “All of you are guardians and all of you are responsible for things under your guardianship; the ruler is a guardian (managing his state’s affairs) and he is responsible for things under his care, the man is a guardian over his family and responsible for them, the woman is a guardian of her husband’s house and she is responsible for
it. All of you are guardians and responsible for things under your control.”

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not excuse any one from responsibility that Allah has put on every individual to build the Islamic society: the ruler is responsible: the man and woman are responsible…. all within their capabilities, domains, and authorities… and the loss of Islam from our Muslim Ummah these days is nothing but a result of the neglect of responsibility. So, a Muslim must train himself on the ethics and morals of Islam without giving himself excuse that he has a certain bad born character. That is because no one is born with a bad character. One may be brought up in bad circumstances. But he is not born with these bad characters. It is the role of individuals, parents and the whole society to inculcate the Muslim ethics and morals of Islam in the society as whole.
