Islam is a comprehensive religion that takes care of all aspects of life. Sexual intercourse between husband and wife, and sexual instinct are among the important matters that Islam takes care of. However, when the Qur’an speaks about such matters, it does so delicately. Every Muslim is advised to learn from it when asking about matters related to intimate relationships or read some books that explain proper conduct and rulings related to sex, and that have some illustrations without any immoral pictures or vulgar expressions.
Regarding a youngster asking an old woman about sexual related issues, the eminent Muslim scholar and renowned Da`iyah, Sheikh `AbdelKhaliq Hasan Ash-Shareef, stated:
“The sexual side in humans is natural and even the animals practice it instinctively. Inquiring about it is not advised for two reasons; firstly to save your shyness and secondly every person gives his own experience and people are different in this side. Moreover, he/she may tell you something untrue to appear himself/herself as a role model and this may cause for you some complications.”
Therefore, one should not disturb him/herself.
