Regarding this topic, Sheikh Ahmad Kutty , states,

If a son is convinced that his parents are wrong in the way they relate and treat others such as his in-laws, brother’s in-laws, his wife etc., it is an Islamic duty upon that son to tell them and admonish them; but in a gentle and polite way.
If that is done but they do not want to listen, the son has fulfilled his own obligation. So, he needs not to be depressed about their reaction. However, he should continue to have good relations with them.

If they are vexed with him because of telling the truth, it is their problem, and that negative attitude of theirs should not make the son feel that its his problem.

Always ask Allah to keep you steadfast on the straight path and to guide the parents as well.
