The eminent Muslim scholar and renowned Da`iyah, Sheikh `Abdel Khaliq Hasan Ash-Shareef, states: “If couples made the intention of Hajj tamattu’ and they concluded umrah then it is allowed before being in the state of Ihram for Hajj, within the first days of Dhul Hijjah and before the 8th. At this time, couples are permitted to have intimate relationship until the eighth of Dhul Hijjah when they have to intend Hajj and starts the rites of Hajj. After finishing the rites of Hajj they have to offer a sacrificial animal in Makkah.
