Masturbation is ejection of semen without intercourse that occurs to women and men, which is done by hand or other form of intimacy. Masturbation with the intention of arousing lust is forbidden in general. If it is to soothe the excessive or dominant lust with which it is feared to fall into immorality, it is permissible by some scholars. Because doing it then would be the lesser harm.
If masturbation in such cases of necessity is permissible, arousing lust and excessive practice of this habit leads to physical and psychological damage. It exhausts the forces of the body, causes depression and distracts man from his duties. It may lead him to commit various acts of immorality such as adultery and others.
