Every Muslim should be keen to visit the Sacred House of Allah in Makkah, and the Prophet’s mosque. This visit revives one’s faith, enhances his iman, and brings him closer to Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him). According to some scholars, `Umrah is obligatory on those who can offer it.

A man with bladder problems is allowed to wear diapers, but he has to offer fidyah, according to the opinion adopted by the Hanafi school of Fiqh

It is on this that Dr. MarawanShahin, Professor of Hadith and its Sciences, said:

“Although a Paraplegic is not required to perform ‘Umarah as he might not have the physical ability to do that. In spite of that, if he wishes to do ‘Umrah, he can do it and he is allowed to wear underwear with diaper  if he has stress incontinence. If he loses his wudu’ while making Tawaaf, he just needs to complete the rounds of tawaafand he should not start form scratch.

To conclude, he is not sinful if he did not go to ‘Umrah because he has his excuse. Hence, he is allowed to ask somebody else to do ‘Umrah on his behalf.”
