Referring the topic to Sheikh `Abdel Khaliq Hasan Ash-Shareef, an eminent Muslim scholar and Da`iyah, he said,
What some Muslim brothers are suffering now is the price they pay for living in the west and marrying a woman from such culture. Laws there will prevent them from many of the rights as a husband and a father. It is important to understand and see the difference between the Islamic teachings and the culture of the society they were raised in, on the one side, and the culture of the society they are living in, on the other side.
So, we would recommend for Muslims in this condition to keep patient and set a good example for the family as a dutiful Muslim father. A Muslim should try to infuse the Islamic spirit in your household seeking the help of Allah. Unless the case is one of extreme physical abuse, Police never ends family disputes.
