Muslims are encouraged to give their children good names and the best names for boys are those that bear the meaning of servitude to Allah such as `Abdullah and `Abdul Rahman. As for this name Misrab and its relation to the Prophet’s sword, we really do not know the origin of this name. But if one is sure that it means the sword of the prophet, we find no restriction concerning having a name of this meaning.
