Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. I have two lovely children and a happy family life. Two weeks ago my brother-in-law asked my husband to register his name as father and me myself as mother of his child (to be delivered in few months) because he is not a citizen in the country where we are living now. But I refused because I have heard that Islam prohibits that. But my husband says there is nothing wrong with this and we are just trying to help. Can you tell me what does Islam say on that?
Allah has blessed me with a son. Is it better to slaughter a sheep as `aqeeqah on his behalf or to give its price in charity?
May i choose the name MIRSAB for my child. i have to know that its meaning is " SWORD OF PROPHET ( P.B.U.H. ). Pls reply.
I want to know about naming our children with Allah’s names like Muhammad `Abdul Bari, Muhammad `Abdur Rafi`. Is it permissible to call them just Rafi`, Bari, Raqib, Rafiq, and so on? I know it is better to call `Abdul Bari but if we just call him Bari then are we committing a sin? Thanks a lot in advance.
Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. What are the basics of the `aqeeqah, and is it permissible to have a Qur’anic function? Some brothers are saying it is bid`ah to read the Qur’an for the `aqeeqah. Jazakum Allah khayran.
Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. I need to know the procedure for `Aqeeqah. My parents did an `Aqeeqah for my son on the seventh day of his birth. But the confusion is that we hadn't named our son yet. So, I am wondering if this `Aqeeqah was valid according to the Sunnah. Don't we have to say the name of the child (and the names of his parents?) when doing "Zabiha" (slaughter) of the two goats? If the name should have been said during "Zabiha", and it wasn't, then do we have to do the `Aqeeqah again? Also I understand that it's suggested that we do `Aqeeqah on the 7th day, but what's the limit to the age of the child? And also, since I have a six year old son, who hasn't been circumcised yet, what's the age limit on that? Your insight according to the Qur'an and Sunnah would be greatly appreciated.
As-Salamu `alaykum, could you please shed light on the Islamic guidelines in choosing names? In other words, what are the criteria to be followed by Muslim in choosing names?
Can I name my coming son Khalid? I heard that I could not because no one is Khalid save Allah. Thank you!
In The Name of Allah, The Most Beneficent, The MOst Merciful.Dear Brother in Islam, assalamu Alaikum Warahmatulahi Wabarakatuh. It would be appreciate if you could elaborate me regarding the Aqiqah in details with the Evidence from The Quran and SunnahJazakallahu Khairan Jazaa.Wassalamhumaid Ismail Ahmad
