The eminent Muslim scholar and renowned Da`iyah, Sheikh `Abdel Khaliq Hasan Ash-Shareef, states: “As far as Islamic Shari`ah is concerned, a Muslim woman is not required to cover her hair while listening to Qur’anic recitation. There is nothing to this effect in the Islamic Shari`ah and therefore Muslims should not exaggerate in this regard.
