The eminent Muslim scholar, Sheikh `Abdel Khaliq Hasan Ash-Shareef, the renowned Da`iyah, states: “In state of Ihram (during Hajj or `Umrah), we are commanded not to wear saffron-colored clothes.
In normal times, it’s better for the Muslim to avoid wearing any clothes that resemble that of the disbelievers. Therefore, it’s better to avoid wearing saffron-colored clothes as long as we have many alternatives.
In addition, we are commanded not to wear the red-colored clothes that have no other colors with it. The white-colored clothes are recommended by the Sunnah. As for women, they should avoid wearing clothes that catch the attention of people while they are outdoor.”
