Dr. Marawan Shahin, Professor of Hadith and its Sciences, Faculty of Usul Ad-Din (Theology),Al-Azhar Univ. states: “It is not permissible as far as Islamic Shari`ah is concerned to add another hair to what was originally and naturally ours. It is reported that a woman came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, ‘My daughter’s hair is falling, can I add another hair to her hair?’ The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prohibited her to do that.
However, everyone is encouraged to seek medication to prevent their hair falling or to strengthen their hair.”
