Answering the question, Sheikh `Abdel Khaliq Hasan Ash-Shareef, an eminent Muslim scholar and Da`iyah, stated:
The niqab borrowed has to be returned back to the inheritors of this woman if the borrower can reach them. however, if the woman could not reach them (loaner family), it is obligatory on her to pay its price in charity on behalf of the dead woman.
