According to the opinion of the majority of scholars, a person who stays where his family lives but on regular basis, he also goes and stays in another place for more than four days on each visit for a mission is not allowed to enjoy the concessions of a traveler (i.e., shortening and combining the prayers) in either place.
However, he can shorten and combine prayers while traveling in between the two places.
