Dr. Monzer Kahf, a prominent economist and counselor states: The principle that is established by the Saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is that giving one child while alive is permissible provided that all other children, males or females, are given equally. Otherwise, the Prophet calls it Injustice. Obviously injustice is forbidden. Giving to children does not have to be at the same time and equality may be in kind or in money depending on circumstance.“
