The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported to have stated that if anyone sees him in his vision, he has truly seen him, for Satan can never disguise himself in the honorable form of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
Muslims scholars state that those who are known for their piety can see the Prophet in a dream as explained in the Prophetic hadith. The person who sees the Prophet in a dream should be known for his upright character also, and he should not use the act as a show off. Our attitude is to believe the person who says that he has seen the Prophet in a dream.
