In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
Exploiting people’s innocence and leniency is unacceptable. Sorrowfully, some wicked people play take advantage of others; seize their properties and exploit them. We repeatedly hear about guards been exploited due to their inattention or negligence, hence stealing their money. However, what is extremely odd and repulsive is some people’s exploitation of others’ feelings and sentiments to usurp their money.
Despite these, we still blame some people for falling a victim and being naïve in dealing with people like this. Giving huge amount of money, even with the hope of getting married them is totally uncalled for. For a lady, it is so strange to keep spending lavishly on a man who is assumed to take care of you. It is expected that the man, in the context of marriage, would give the woman money in terms of dowry and gifts, and to spend on her after marriage. This is the normal role of the man. Rather, the reverse is the case in matters of exploitation like this.
Therefore, a Muslim should be cautious and vigilant. Do not to let others entrap you or make a fool of you. Moreover, protecting one’s properties and not wasting them is extremely required.
Whoever nonetheless falls into this situation unfortunately, we advise you to make use of the legal possible ways of regaining your money by referring that to the local police and the concerned authority. We should not let others take our money this way and react in nothing. This way we are helping them do so again. If this does not work then you should know that every one will face the consequence of his action on the Day of Judgment and will be held accountable for it. On this day, Allah will reckon them about their actions whether good or bad.
May Allah guide us to what pleases Him!
