What has been authentically reported in the Sunnah is that people will be called on the Day of Judgment with the names of their fathers NOT mothers. According to the authentic hadith reported by Abu Ad-Darda`, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported to have said, “You will be called on the Day of Judgment with your names and the names of your fathers, and hence choose good names.”
Thus, people will be called on the Day of Judgment with their names and the names of their fathers NOT their mothers.
