Respected scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. I am a mother of 4 children, and I am 5 months pregnant. When I did ultrasound, my doctor told me that I have a baby with Down's Syndrome. The first time I didn't believe her, so I went and took the amniocentesis test, which gave me a positive result, which means the baby has Down's syndrome with heart defects and other problems. My faith in God is bigger than ever. My question is what is the fatwa about the abortion? Jazakum Allahu khayran.

i have 3 children the youngest being 7 months & i am pregnant (5 week)i found it very difficult with the last baby  both emotionaly & medicaly & to think i am have to go through all of it again would detroy my well being as a mother to my other children & therefore i am considering to abort this pregnancy for the well being of myself & my family, please advice

If you are breastfeeding a 6 month old baby and are seven weeks pregnant with a second child, is it permissible to breastfeed the first child through the pregnancy?

What are the steps that are allowed in Islam for taking precautions against pregnancy and what are the steps prohibited in Islam? Is Intra-uterine Device (IUD) allowed in Islam? This device, as well as other contraceptives, are reversible and can be left in place for several years (for example, copper devices - left for 2-5 years). What does Islam say about using contraceptive pills? What should be the husband's role in accepting the steps provided by his wife if they are allowed in Islam? Should he encourage her for taking precautions?

I have lost 2 of my babies this year.  one at just under 6 months and 1 at just under 4 months.  I would like to find out what prayers can you do to have a healthy baby? And how can I ensure that this will not happen again? How do I regain confidence in life? Is there any prayers I can do for my babies?

assalam alykum respected scholar i need an urgent reply to my question please help around 3years ago while i was undergoing treatment for infertility iwas waiting for the  pregnancy test results so i      vowed to allah that if my test is positive i will read quran everyday of my pregnancy i will read onejuz everyday of my pregnancy and therefore nine quran but due to health reasons and tiredness during pregnancy i was not able to complete the amount i had vowed i read the quran everyday alhamdulliah but little not the stipulated one now i have to commplete the vow how do i do this as i am not longer pregnant please help jazakallahu khairan

Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. I'm a new resident here. I have a 3-month-old baby who is having certain health problems since birth and I'm facing many difficulties in taking care of her. I have no family member here to help me. Yesterday I learned that I'm pregnant again and it is the start of the second month. Under these circumstances, can I have an abortion because it will be very difficult for me to take care of my newborn during pregnancy and even after delivery, I can't take care of both an infant and an 11-month-old baby. As-Salamu `Alaykum! What is the Islamic ruling for woman who gets pregnant quite often? Can she have intervals between births and if so, how long should she wait? Jazakum Allah khayran.

My wife is pregnant. We are Indians and a lot of advice is given by the elders on how to take care of one’s wife during this crucial period. One piece of advice concerns the eclipses (lunar, solar). I was advised by somebody that during pregnancy the woman should not venture out in the open nor should she do household work. Is there any Islamic ruling supporting this or is it just another superstition? May Allah reward you for your good work.

Dear Scholar,Assalamu Alaikum. First of all I would like to thank you for the great advice and motivation you give toall muslims and non-muslims around the world. I have been married for almost two years now and we feel it is time for my husband and I to try for a baby. I was wondering whether there is any literature or sayings (hadith) from the prophet (peace be uponhim) about trying to conceive during the month of Ramadan. Would there be any additional blessings because of the holiness of the month, or is it discouraged? Also would there be a health risk to the baby in fasting during the very first days of pregnancy (if Allah blesses us?) since it would not be possible to know whether pregnancy has occurred untilaround two weeks after conception.
