Intention

Salam My question is, are there any Dua one can do when they wish to achieve or gain something with good intention? What if one had a desire to gain something with good intention. What should one do? Give charity?

As-Salamu `alaykum. What is the intention a person is supposed to have while praying behind an Imam, and what intention should an Imam have while leading the salah (ritual Prayer)?

Assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.I was late coming from a trip and on the way home I stopped by the masjid to pray maghrib.  The jamaa made iqama for Isha.  I prayed with jamaa but with the intention to pray maghrib.  when the imaam the jamaa stood up for the  4th rakaa, i remained seated until they sat down for tashahud.  when the imaam made salam, i did too.  was i mistaken in not following the imaam?  also would it have been better for me to pray isha with the jamaa and then make up maghrib?  what is the proper way of doing the prayers in this situation.  I travel a lot and usually try to stop by a masjid where available, and sometimes end up in these weird situations.  I guess i need to learn the basic rules for qada of salat and also salat of masbooq.Jazak Allah Khair.

What are the rulings on niyyah for prayer? Please specifically explain whether it is needed to voice (low voice) the niyyah or is it needed to have it in the heart and mind? If one has to have the niyyah in heart and mind (like the niyyah for ghusl??), then what is the ruling one those who voice it?Moreover, what is the ruling on niyyah for praying when one wants to pray behind an Imam?

if one has given some money as sadaqa, can the intention be changed to zakat at a later date.

dear mufti saab sometime in salat i doubt that i made intention for that salat during or after the salat or sometime right after i wudu i doubt did i still have my wudu or even thought i did not

My uncle came for Hajj this year and reached madina first. When going to Mecca he wore ihram and had the intenion os umra but did not do the intension verbally  due to forgetfulness. What hs he to do. Will his umra be valid or he has to go to medina or the miqaat and do the niyah or what is other expatiation for this?

Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. Is it sufficient for one to make the intention to fast Ramadan once, or has one to make the intention to fast for each day one fasts separately? Is one required to express the intention to fast in explicit words or is it sufficient to make the intention in one's heart? Jazakum Allah khayran.

Assalam u alaikum brotherI had three questions which I was wondering if you could please answer:1) When you have done the niyyat for fasting but it is not yet the end of Sehri, is it permissable to eat or drink? 2) Is it permissable to use toothpaste and brush your teeth when fasting? 3) If you start a fast and then you start your menses during the fast, do you have to complete the fast and does it count?Many thanks in advanceJazak Allah Khair

Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. Can you define the acceptable intention of fasting? Is it necessary to formulate the intention to fast every single day of Ramadan, or is it enough to make the intention to fast the whole month in the beginning? Jazakum Allah khayran.

As-Salamu `alaykum. I have heard that it is bid`ah to make an audible intention when one is about to enter prayer (i.e., one says for example, I am going to pray four rak`ahs fard etc.); is that is true? I have heard that the intention should be made in the heart and not aloud. Could you please furnish me with a comprehensive Fatwa in this regard? Your early response will be very much appreciated!
