Hajj

Respected scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. Why do we see men and women at Hajj time, praying in the same line; some men even physically touch women while praying in the same line. How can this be acceptable during Hajj and not after? Jazakum Allahu Khayran.

What is the difference between Hady for one performing Tamattu Hajj & Udhiyah

Respected scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. We live in Jeddah and we wanted to perform Hajj. We went for Hajj, but we did not do the farewell Tawaf because my father refused and told us that only the people who are traveling need to do this Tawaf. What should we do? Jazakum Allahu Khayran.

On the day of Arafat, we started from Arafat to Muzdalifa in the evening at 10 PM since we could not get a vehicle to go early. We could not walk and go to Muzdalifa as my old. parents were also with me. Due to crowd and traffic jam, we reached Muzdalifa at 6 am in the morning and missed the maghrib, isha prayers as well as fajr prayers. I could only pray khaza prayers for fajr. Please let me know if my hajj is complete?

Respected scholars, as-salamu `alaykum.there are some people who argue and suggest that it is better not to perform `Umrah these days to avoid being infected with swine flu. What is the Shari`ah perspective of this? Jazakum Allahu Khayran.

Asak, I had to travel from Atlanta to India. But one of my friends suggested that I should make a stop over at Jeddah and apply for transit visa for Saudi. I took his advice and applied and alhmd. i got the transit visa. But during this process (as everything happened last minute) I delayed making aggrangements for Ihram for me and my Family and I tried to find them and inquired with my friends and family if they had any Ihrams. But none of this gave any results. I had no choice to proceed without Ihram for jeddah. But after reaching Jeddah, I bought ahram there and wore it. Just to let you the main intention for the stop over at jeddah was Umrah. Do I have to give Dumm for my mistake?? Please advice me. Thank You

i've very curly hair, it tangles and its difficult to manage, everytime i comb, hair rips from my sculp and its painful, can i straighten it, to make it more manageable and less painful nad can i go to hajj with straightened hair?

Salam Alikum,I sold my apartment which was financed through an Islamic institution, but when I sold it and bought a house they couldn?t provide the financing which forced me into taking a conventional mortgage (Riba).  I had also bought a pre-construction home which I was planning to sell upon completion.  However, due to the real estate market I am now stuck with two interest based mortgages.  I plan to go to hajj inshAllah this year and I don?t want to have this on my conscious.  What do you recommend I do, should I wait until next year?

Asalaamou3alaikum Dear scolars. I have a question about the hadj-period. In the tafsir of the Quran it is possible to do the pelgrim in 4 months. So is het possible to do the hadj in the other for months in stead of dul hijja. And if its not can you explain me what the quran mean by that. Wa salaam ou 3alaikum

As-salamu `alaykum,I live inCanada, and I am flying to Saudi Arabia for a business trip, but I am also planning to do `Umrah, in sha' Allah. I have two questions as follows:1. Do I have to enter Makkah in the state of ihram or can I delay this until I start doing the `Umrah after my business trip is over?2. Should I pray qasr (shorten the number of rak`ahs in prayer) if it happens that I miss the prayer in congregation or I don't have to pray qasr in Saudi Arabia ? My friend told me that I don't have to because "it is the heart of Islam."

What is better, going for Hajj more than once or sincerely helping the needy out of the same resources?
