As-Salamu `alaykum. I have some questions regarding the history of the Islamic nation. By faith, I am a Christian, but I believe in learning about other cultures and religions in order not to be ignorant during conversation.Here are my questions:Who founded the Islamic religion? Do you have a leader today (Catholics have the Pope, etc), and how big is the Islamic religion? Also, is there an Islamic International Headquarters and a National Headquarters?This information is to be used for a paper that I am doing for school. The class is religion and philosophy. I would appreciate any information you can give me or any recommendations to another web-site I can go to. Thank You.

As-Salamu `alaykum! I am a person who has knowledge in Qur'an and Hadith, and call people to Islam. But I am facing a serious problem that, most of the times, my activities are not tied to Allah, but rather to pride and showing-off. Also, I get a feeling that I am not doing the things that I want others to do and call them to. Due to that, I am very much worried and sometimes pull back. Please give me advice on how I should act on this condition so that I prepare myself to Jannah (Paradise).

Dear scholars, I am a woman. Can you give me advice on how I can be a da`iyah (feminine form of “da`i,” one who invites people to Islam?

As-Salamu `alaykum. Is it allowed in Islam to use the method of ’Mind Control’ and ‘Brain Washing’ to make new Muslims?

Back in my town in India, there is a durga, which is a shrine where a lot of people go to. I understand that a Muslim saint is buried there. The people who visit that place consist of Muslims and even Hindus. Sad to say that some of Muslims commit shirk over there by making du`aa’ and asking favors from the saint who is dead.They bel ieve that the saint is alive in his grave and can ask Allah for the favors that the people want. In fact most of the people who camp in the durga are poor and needy people. When I go back to my town, I usually feed the poor and the needy in my house as a form of charity. Is it permissible to help them in food, money, and clothing even though they do those kind of acts in the durga? They do also perform the Prayers but at the same time they perform those acts. What is the solution for this? Please advise from the Qur’an and the Sunnah.

What else should we do as Muslims after fulfilling the five pillars of Islam and treating our fellow humans justly and kindly? What is the importance of da`wah, and how should it be practiced nowadays? May Allah reward you.

As-Salamu `alaykum. What is the ruling regarding going out to different parts of the world for specific number of days, like 40 days or 4 months, to call Muslims to perfect the duties of Islam?

Dear scholars, as-Salamu `alaykum. Am I a Muslim? I believe all of the central tenets of Islam, but have never been to a mosque or prayed to Allah in an official manner, only in private supplications and praise. I was raised as an atheist, but have felt my whole life that SOMETHING (I later learned that His name was Allah) was calling me towards Him. I am deeply spiritual, and think, about every decision in my life, what Allah would think or say, but I don’t feel like I really belong in the Muslim community, simply because I never have been a part of it. Dear scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. Some of my Canadian friends always ask me about Islam. Their most confusing question is: Why would a good non-Muslim person go to hell when all he did in this life was good deeds? Why would God punish a Christian or a Jew if he/ she was born into his/her religion? Jazakum Allah khayran.

Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. Da`wah camps are set up by groups of committed youth for the purpose of offering Dhikr, performing night vigil optional prayers, and giving lectures on matters of religion. What is the legal ruling on such camps? It should be born in mind that these camps are an important means for calling youth to the right path, and that no activity in these camps involves an innovation in religion. [If they are lawful,] what should be said to those who claim that they are a kind of innovation in religion? What can we tell them to prove that these camps are lawful in Islam, for they ask us to give them religious evidence in that regard? Jazakum Allah khayran.

Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. I am Canadian, raised Muslim, but I attended Catholic school from kindergarten till OAC. I myself have difficulty following Islam, but I do understand the religion very well. My question is, all of my friends are Catholic and I feel by compassion that I should teach them Islam. Should I teach them or not? If yes, how should I? As well, if I was to end up marrying a Catholic woman, isn't it fair to her and the children to teach them Islam and Christianity? Thank you. As-salamu `alaykum. Propagating and spreading Islam may necessitate distributing or presenting copies of the Qur���an to unbelievers. Those unbelievers may read it and try to understand the message. Also, some of them may undermine the Qur’an. I have heard that there are some difficulties in allowing unbelievers to have the Qur’an, for fear that it would be damaged or abused in some way. Can you please tell me how this can be reconciled in order to help spread the Word of Allah? Thank you.

Assalam-o-alaikum,I just wanna whether we can take help from local maulana to change the wrong mindsets of somebody. if we are sure some muslin has mindset which is not according to Islam and its impossible to make them understand or change their mindset,so in this case we can use some dua and quranic verses to change it. Which dua will be helpful to change it
