The eminent Muslim scholar and Da`iyah, Sheikh `Abdel Khaliq Hasan Ash-Shareef, states the following: “In the first place, we would like to stress that non-Muslims will receive no reward in the Hereafter. They will be given the reward for their good deeds in this life. As for murder crimes, they are surely sinful acts and major sins in Islam. Those Muslims who commit them are asked to declare sincere repentance to Allah and to ask Him for forgiveness.
Having said this, I should ascertain here that comparing non-Muslims who may do some good acts with believers who maybe committing some serious sins is not a just comparison because with that we will be comparing two different entities. Every sinful Muslim is asked by Allah to stop the sin he is doing and to repent sincerely to Allah in order not to be subjected to His punishment in the Hereafter. The punishment and reward in the Hereafter are things that are so special to Allah Almighty alone as He Almighty is the One who can determine the fate of his creation and He alone is the only one who rewards and punishes. All in all, Muslims, however, are not appointed as judges.
