Sheikh Muhammad Al-Mukhtar Ash-Shinqiti, Director of the Islamic Center of South Plains,Lubbock, Texas, states: “The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed ten categories of people in regards to wine. Some of them are those who sell it and those who serve it. Designing the website is a contribution in both selling and serving. Therefore, no Muslim should do it and he has to talk honestly with the company to free him from such task after explaining the religious reasons and backgrounds for this, and he can offer to do other lawful services instead.”
