The eminent Muslim scholar and renowned Da`iyah, Sheikh `Abdel Khaliq Hasan Ash-Shareef, states: “Muslim scholars agreed that it is not permissible for anyone to represent the person of any prophet and appear on theatre, film, or anything else. However, there is nothing wrong in acting out stories of prophets without one appearing or talking acting the role of the prophet. In this case, more details are needed regarding the aim behind the story, the way of displaying it and other circumstances.
