The eminent Muslim scholar and renowned Da`iyah, Sheikh `Abdel Khaliq Hasan Ash-Shareef, states: “The mere touching of hands between husband and wife does not necessitate repeating wudu’. However, if it (touching spouse’s hand) caused the motivation of sexual desire either intentionally or unintentionally, then it requires renewing wudu’.”
