Dr. Muzammil H. Siddiqi, former President of the Islamic Society of North America states that: “In wudu’ (ablution) you wash only some exposed parts of your body, but in swimming or taking a shower, the whole body is washed with water, so there is no need for another wudu’ after taking a shower or swimming in a pool. If while in the pool or after coming out you did not do anything that breaks the wudu’, then you can pray without making another wudu’.”
