The eminent Muslim scholar and renowned Da`iyah, Sheikh `Abdel Khaliq Hasan Ash-Shareef, states: While doing the massage, women are not supposed to uncover the area between the navel and knees in front of the masseuse. So, if the purpose of such massage can be achieved without uncovering this area, then they are not allowed to uncover it. However, if there is a necessity for this massage and it is upon the consultation of a reliable Doctor, then there is nothing wrong with uncovering your body before her with the exception of their major `Awrah (the front and back genitals).“
