Many Muslims entertain the wish to see their beloved Prophet in a dream. This emanates from the tremendous love they have for this great Prophet. However, there is no certain way to attain this wish, but one who is keen on following in the Prophet’s footsteps may be more entitled to get this chance.
Sheikh Muhammad Iqbal Nadvi, Director and Imam of Al-Falah Islamic Center, Oakville, Ontario, Canada, states: One can wish to get this blessing, but there is no certain way to see the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in a dream. Only one thing I can advise: the more we follow the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the better chance we have to see the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
One more point I want to clarify here is: we would be living in the company of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) if we practice his Sunnah in our life. So, to see the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in a dream is not an end or absolute wish of the believer. The supreme goal of the believer is to accompany the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) in Paradise.
