Where I live, all people play music during their wedding.  I is customary that music is played and the women (who are completely separate from the men) dance and cheer for the bride.  Even the religious people here play music during the wedding.  Also, the Muslims where I live refuse to dance to Nasheed.I do not listen to music because I heard it was haraam, but would it be permissible to play music just on the wedding reception?  I know my wife's family could not imagine having a wedding celebration without some music.

Respected scholars, As-salamu `alaykum. In the hadith that talks about the importance of inviting the poor to a walimah (wedding feast); what does it mean to be poor? Do you just have to invite? What if you invite and they don't come, what should you do? Jazakum Allahu khayran.

Are Muslims allowed to enter a Church? My mother recently remarried in a registry office and had a blessing in a Church. My husband is a Muslim and was not sure if he was allowed to go in. He ended up not going into the Church, as he feared some sort of recrimination, even though he was not asked to take part in prayer. I have researched this but to no avail and would like some clarification for us both. I really look forward to your reply.

As-Salam `Alaykum, I would like to know if there are some rites or something in the Sunnah regarding the consummation of marriage. I mean if there is a way in the Sunnah to have the first sexual intercourse with one's wife. Jazakum Allahu khayran.

Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. I want to know if it is permissible to attend a Hindu wedding in a temple? And also is it permissible to go to a funeral or wedding in a church or synagogue? Jazakum Allah khayran.

As-Salamu `alaykum. My cousin has a wedding next month and she has invited me and my husband to her wedding. Is it permissible for us to take part in the wedding? She is a Christian and will get married in church. Jazakum Allah khayran.
