Assalamualaikum, Is it permissible to wear "Planet Hollywood" or "Hard Rock Cafe" t-shirts, especially to prayers, even though we wear prayer clothing on the outside (for women)? The T-shirts are plain, only writings of the logo of the restaurant/ nightclub. Secondly, what about T-shirts or jewellery with certain motives which to some appears like a mushyrik's motive? Is it permissible to wear? I have a Bulgari pendant model B.Zero1. Someone told me not to wear it as to her wearing it resemble a musyrik. I didn't even think of its resembelance to anything until that person say so. Is this true? Please give me some guidance on these dress codes.

Alsalamo Alaykom wa Rahmato Alla wa Barakato, My wife has newly converted to Islam and her sister (still christian)has given her a cross (the one that you wear as a necklace). She (my wife) still loves her family and will always do and does not want to upset them. My question is :- Is it ok for her (my wife) to keep the cross as a present from her sisrter?also can she wear it (not all the time and just every now and then) as a present from her sister? My wife is new to Islam as I told you and I am afraid to say no so that would really put her off. Please help jazakom Allah khyranal

Assalamu Alaikum, Dear Scholar, Some people say it is not permissible for a Musalli to wear a turban praying behind a Imam, where the Imam is not wearing a turban. I have recently been told that it is an Islamic obligation for the mourners at a funeral to wear white. Is this claim true and does Islam put a restriction on the color of garments at a funeral? Is black a prohibited color to wear at a funeral?

As-salamu `alaykum. I read in Sheikh Al-Albani’s book, The Etiquettes of Marriage, that like men, women are also forbidden from wearing gold rings and jewelry. He has provided various hadiths as evidence. As far as I know, gold is forbidden only for men. I am very confused. Please clarify this issue.
