Women visiting graveyards
Assalam alykum dear Scholar! I've been told by my elders that its not permissible for Muslim women to enter graveyards.I too personally encountered this when i visited the holy city of Madina, as women were not allowed to enter Jannatul Baqi, the famous graveyard. Though as a believer i accept whatever Islam says but I hope you can help me understand the reasoning behind such a ruling. I wish to equip myself with the knowledge behind various Islamic rulings which may seem irrational to any non-Muslim or for that matter any naive Muslim.I hope to understand my beautiful religion from a reasonable point of view so that I can be ready to defend my faith in front of any uninformed person and for this, I look upto your help.
