Supplication

I am in depth i cant repay the money when and how can i repay is there any miracle Allah will make to overcome for me to come out of this problem i am getting upset i cant bear the tension I strongly believe in allah that he will help me to overcome this situation by some miracle or not

Salam AlikumWhen offering supplication, can I mention time frame, for example like this "O Allah please grant me this and this in this month"Jazakallah.

i know some 1 who has been trying for a while to get pregnant with no suceed just wondering if their were any specific duas or anything she could do

asalamualaykum. i have just recently finished my exams and will be going to college in september inshallah. i have had a question that has been on my mind for a while now. i have a couple of friends approximately 6 who are all also muslim, the problem is though that they dont act like muslims. they do very sinful acts like drinking, smoking drugs and getting very friendly with girls. they are all aware that these are sinful acts but do not stop. their parents do not know. befor my exams had started i worked very hard in my studies and prayed and made duas to make the exams easy for me. my friends however, they didnt pray and make dua and just carried on with the sinful acts. however, when it comes to exams they do not have to revise and work as hard as i do, but then when the results come the achieve the top grades with out making dua and praying, also they do not study as much and still achieve the top grades. now recently i have just done my important exams and made lots of duas for the exams to make them easy for me, but i found them difficult and i have a feeling i will not do very well. i cannot understand why this could happen as my friends who do the sinful acts and never pray, they found the exams very easy and they are not worried about the results they will get. and i think they will achieve the top grades. can you please explain to me why this is. alhamdulillah i know my rights and wrongs in islam and i try to stay away from sinful acts but i cannot understand why some one who is embarassed to pray and be a muslim still achieves the top grades and gets into the top colleges without making duas. is there specificly any duas i can read until my exa ms restuls come? As Salaamu Alaikum, I have several questions regarding salat, Insha'Allah you'll be able to help. 1-Is it bidah to raise the hands to shoulders length (palms turned up) and supplicate to Allah? Please give hadith or other proof. 2-I've seen Muslims rise, coming out of ruku and place the right hand over their left, then takbir and go into prostration. Isn't that bidah? I was always taught to relax the limbs when coming out of ruku. 3-All the masajids I've been to when the Imam takbir, all the followers also takbir aloud. Although recently I've seen a leader of salat takbir but no one in the ranks takbir aloud but me, and I was told thats bidah. Is it bidah? Please give proof.    

As Salam AlaikumWith regards to making supplications, should I describe in details everything that I want i.e. about my needs in this world and hereafter? This would cover many things, my study, my life, my future marriage, my family and of course to be saved from hell fire. Or should I just supplicate for Allah to grant me the best for my every wish without telling the details? I'm afraid of two things if I tell the details, one it will take long time and second, by describing every detail I would get distracted. Furthermore I am truly unable to describe every detail too. Is it a requirement when making supplication to supplicate in a very particular and detail way of our needs?Jazakallah Khairan

What about calling Allah by another name that's not amongst His attributes?

Assalamu'alaykum, Dear Scholars! I've been having a confusi on regarding tawassul. Some people say (especially the followers of sufi tariqahs) that we should seek to get to closer to Allah through the means of so called "awliya". They qoute the verse 35 of surah al-Ma'ida where Allah says: "wabtaghu ilayhi al-wasilah". What is the real meaning of this verse? Besides, can we use the tawassul of the dead good people including the prophets in our du'a? Jazakum Allahu khayran.

Asalaamualaikum,I have a 10-year old brother with cerebral palsy and a 2-year old sister who is developmentally delayed.We have been making dua for them and I have been asking for help on Laylatul Qadr nights.  The doctors aren’t really sure what it is and how to treat it either. Dear Scholar! Does a pregnant women have a right to pray for a baby boy considering the fact that there are no males in her families.If yes, could you please tell me some duas or if not i hope God to forgive me.

Assalamalaikum wa rahmatullah wa baraktu, Dear respected Shaykh i want you to enlighten me on the querie that i have. I have someone who says it better for someone to make dua for you. The situation is that she is having a difficult time and she said ask the shaykh at the local mosque as they are full of knowledge to make dua on my behalf because it is more accepted from them because they are people of knowledge and know more dua. So where shall my stance be here is it correct to say that someone who has knowledge can make dua it will be readily accepted or is it better for you to make dua in individual for your needs. Dear Scholars:as-salamu ?alaykum. In Islam, I believed it is commendable (Sunnah) to have an individual duaa (kifaratul majlis) at the end of gatherings. Here in the Philippines, we used to have trainings, seminars or gatherings as part of government offices activities wherein mixed Muslims and Christians are participants. Is it innovation (bida?a) to have a Muslim invocation (duaa) before starting seminars or gatherings taken from the Qur?aninc verses or hadith? Jazakum Allahu khairan.

It is known that Tarawih Prayers were started by `Umar ibn Al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him). Then why do people quote hadiths in favor of Tarawih Prayers in congregation and call it a Sunnah?

I have always seen my family (especially mother/wife/sister) reciting some Qur’anic verses or some prayers and then blowing on themselves or someone around them (for blessing, protection, and so on). As salaamualaikum wa rahmathulaihi wa barakathuhu May Allah bestow his blessings and mercy upon you for guiding those in need.My question relates to Qadr or predestination in Islam. It is a belief that dua can to an extent change and influence a persons predestined path of actions. My question relates to marriage. I?m currently in a relationship with a woman and things aren?t looking too good for us in terms of getting married due to vast cultural differences. We are praying hard that things work out and we do get married. My question is that if we do ask dua and if Allah does will for us to get married then is it in some way gonna affect the way our destinies should have been and cause a big change in out futures for some reason. Also we are asking dua because we are in a relationship which is not allowed in Islam in the first place and if we do get married then will it in any way bring in a bad affect to our marriage if we were predestined to be with someone else.My second question is that if marriages are predestined and being in relationships is wrong then how would Islam explain a couple in a relationship who go on to get married. Would they have found each other and gotten married anyway.Finally if dua can change a persons predestined path of actions then does a person who asks a lot of dua in someway decide his own destiny, maybe not at everything but some major aspects which may have a big impact on his future.If the best thing in pleasing Allah is ending this relationship I would appreciate some advice on how best to do it. If it is established that Allah Almighty has predestined everything, what is the use of supplicating Him? In other words, would supplication change one's destiny; if not, why should one offer supplication then?
