Bismillah alrahman al raheem, wa al salamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhThe other day i saw a friend of mine reading the quran following the proper etiqutte it deserves, however she was reading it with her eyes rather than moving her lips and tongue, not neccessarily enunciating. when i asked her about it, she said, she didnt think it was necessary and has never heard it was wajib.she does the same with du'aa as well.My question is: Can we read islamic duaa or the holy quraan or any islamic scrip for ibadaa without atleast moving the lips and tongue? and if so could i have a hadeeth or ayah saying so.Thank you very much for your time

assalam alykum respected scholar i need an urgent reply to my question please help around 3years ago while i was undergoing treatment for infertility iwas waiting for the  pregnancy test results so i      vowed to allah that if my test is positive i will read quran everyday of my pregnancy i will read onejuz everyday of my pregnancy and therefore nine quran but due to health reasons and tiredness during pregnancy i was not able to complete the amount i had vowed i read the quran everyday alhamdulliah but little not the stipulated one now i have to commplete the vow how do i do this as i am not longer pregnant please help jazakallahu khairan

Is it necesssary to wear the headscarf for referring the Quran only- that is, just to see a particular verse or refer for a clarification of doubt on any matter? And is it always necessary for a woman to be in wudu while touching the Quran? Jazak Allah Khair.

Respected Sheikh, As-Salamu `alaykum. I am a new convert to Islam and have a question about a certain practice I have observed regarding death. Female family members and friends get together and recite surat Yasin and pray other various prayers together. They keep praying and counting until they reach their target, then they eat (sometimes). I have heard that this is an innovation and not a proper practice. Please advise me with reference to hadith.
