circumcision

Assalam o alaikum My question is on male circumcision, I know of a non muslim who has recently taken up Islam alhamdullilah. His age is 23 years. Is it necessary for him to undergo circumcision?help me with this issue.

I would like to know if circumcision (male) is a must for conversion. This is what the Prophet laid in hadith but considering the present scenario (if we hear the medical doctors) and as far as my feeling goes - how much is it necessary today? Can I have discussion with some teacher who is an authority on this subject?

Al salam alaykum, may Allah reward you for this great service you provide to fellow Muslims.My question is on female circumcision. I don't need to tell you about all the dangers and harms of this barbaric practice, and its absolute lack of any health benefit whatsoever. I read a hadith on this web site saying "Reduce the size of the clitoris but do not exceed the limit, for that is better for their health and preferable for the husband" How could our Prophet say this, if in fact this hadith is authentic. Did he mean perhaps that it is preferable for the husband because he doesn't have to worry too much about the satisfaction of his wife? I don't understand.also, Allah promises pious righteous men in this world beautiful women for their pleasure in the afterlife. What does He promise pious women who withstand so much sexual frustration all their lives and do not commit zina? And please do not say women don't think of sex, they do so as much as men, as it is a basic human need that needs to be satisfied for both men and women.Jazakum Allah Kahayran

before prophet Ibrahim{As}those prophets who had come did they under gone circumcission or not? If one muslim doesn't under go circumcission how far he is Muslim?

Is female genital mutilation allowed in Islam?I have read somewhere in a hadith that the Prophet pbuh said cut only the foreskin of the clitoris n not cut deeply.Here is the hadith.  "Cut off only the foreskin (outer fold of skin over the clitoris; the prepuce) but do not cut off deeply (i.e. the clitoris itself), for this is brighter for the face (of the girl) and more favorable with the husband."Is this hadith true?Isn't there any risk involved in female circumcision?As in Africa the people cut off all of the external genital like the clitoris and the labia minora and that involves alot of health risks like infections,HIV and problems in married life.I am really confused over this matter...if female circumcision is allowed and obligatory in Islam then why havent i seen anyone doing this??  Please help me clear my doubts on this.

dear scholar,assalaamualaykum wr wb,how soon can a circumscission be perfomed?what is the appropriate time according to sunnah?how long can it be delayed,is  it all right if not performed-does it affect the faith in any way?

Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. Islam talks about cleanliness. I am not circumcised, and I want to convert to Islam as soon as possible, at least before or right after Ramadan. I do not have the financial means to get the procedure done. Am I required to get circumcised before embracing Islam? Or am I supposed to do it at the time? I was told it is a very painful procedure. As-Salamu `Alaykum. There is a widespread practice of 'female circumcision' among Muslims in many nations, though limited to some sections only. What does the Shari’ah say on this and what are the Prophet’s words regarding this?
