What is the best time to slaughter the sacrificial animal?

Dear scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. I want to offer a sacrifice in `Eid Al-Adha. However, I am not efficient in slaughtering. Can I authorize my Christian neighbor to slaughter the animal for me? Is it legally permissible? Jazakum Allah khayran.

A few days before `Eid, I bought a lamb that was sound and healthy, to offer it as a sacrifice on `Eid. When it was being brought down the stairs to be sacrificed, it suffered an injury in its leg (one hour before being sacrificed). Is this considered to be a flaw in the sacrificial animal?

Dear Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, As-Salamu `alaykum. Many Europeans view that the method of slaughtering animals according to Shari`ah causes severe pain to animals. Many political parties object to using this method, and many animal rights groups call for giving up this method as well. There is a view that animals should be injected with a narcotic before slaughtering so that they will not feel the pain during the slaughtering process. What is the Islamic view on injecting animals before slaughtering with a small dose of a narcotic whose effect will not remain after slaughtering and which not affect people who eat the meat? On `Eid Al-Adha, is there a different way of sacrificing without killing an animal?

Dear scholars, As-Salam `Alaykum.`Eid Mubarak to you all! When “`Eid Al-Adha” is at the doorstep, many rams, cows, camels, of course, are tied to be slaughtered for feast. This brings to my mind the following question: What is the concept of sacrifice in Islam? By the way, my non-Muslim friends try to pick fault in Islam, saying that Muslims are no different to idol worshippers, who also offer sacrifices to their gods. Please clarify this point. As-salamu `alaykum. My question concerns halal meat.as far as I know (please correct me as my knowledge on the subject is limitedl), the Qur'an does not describe exactly how an animal must be slaughtered and what words, if any, should be said when it is done. So how did the rules come about?also, is it acceptable to eat meat from the Children of the Book and say bismillah before eating if I have reasonable grounds to think that the animal was alive when killed (even if stunned) and was killed with a sharp blade without suffering? Please answer in brief.

Dear scholars, As-Salamu `alaykum. My parents would like to know if sacrificing a goat is obligatory based on household income or on individual income (since they both work)? Assalamualikum w.w. please advise me if the meat of sacrified animal on the eve of Eidul zuha  can be given to non-muslims? Can my son  send money to one of my   relatives  to do sacrifise  the animal one his behalf  one the eve of eid-ul- zuha? please reply.  Allah hafiz.

Assalamualaikum.  May I ask if it is permissible (recommended) if I make a donation to a Muslim charity organisation for the purpose of offering Udhiyah.  This means, as the meat are all canned, I will not get to see the slaughter of these animals, neither will I be able to eat it or divide them into the three equal portions.  Can I also make an intention to do it on behalf of my children or would it be better if I do it on behalf of my mother who died whilst I was very young.  Jazakallah khairan

My mother, my wife and I did umra, however, forgot to trim our hair. Later all of us removed our ahram. My wife and I also enjoyed our conjugal rights. However, my mother is an old lady and a widow. Next morning when we remembered, we trimmed our hair as normal. Please tell us: 1. If each one of us has to sacrifice a goat (give "dumm") 2. Whether such sacrifice to atone for mistakes in umra have to be done in Makkah? or they can be done in Jeddah or in Pakistan. 3. Who can eat this sacrifical meat.

Dear scholars, as-salamu `alaykum. In the light of the current war and situation in Somalia, is it allowed for Muslims to send their udhiyah (sacrificial animals) to the Somali people to help relieve their pains and suffering?
