Dr. Ahmad As-Suwei` Shleibak, Member of the Fiqh Council of North America and Member of the Assembly of Muslim Jurists in America (AMJA), states the following: “The Muslim should look for the woman with good deen who fears Allah and obeys Him. Also, if the person decided to get married he should ask about the woman and her family, also make isalat al-istikharah. Lastly, there is no stated supplication which state that one should recite to get married to a certain woman.”
