The prominent Muslim scholar and Da`iyah, Zeinab Mostafa, states: “It is great that Islam teaches us everything concerning our life, even the manners of taking showers. As Islam appreciates women so much, the `awrah of women is her whole body except the face and hands in front of men; as for the `awrah in front of her mother and other women is from the navel to the knee. So it is not allowed for them to take a shower if they will uncover their `awrah.”
