There is no any restriction or prohibition in Islam concerning immediate marriage after the death of parents. However, the feelings of people and their reasonable customs should be observed as long as they do not contradict the Sharia. So, a son who lost his parent close to the date scheduled for his marriage may be advised to wait until he perceives that the mourning atmosphere has changed and then consummate his marriage.
