Sheikh Ahmad Kutty, a senior lecturer and Islamic scholar at the Islamic Institute of Toronto,Ontario, Canada, states: “It is ok to do so if by laser removal of hair one is not totally eliminating hair growth, in which case it would be akin to disfiguring Allah’s creation; its permissibility is also conditional on the fact that it is done only through a man dermatologist; a man cannot avail the service of a woman dermatologist since it cannot be considered an essential service.“
