It should be clear that Paradise is the abode of happiness; all its dwellers, males or females, will be showered with Allah’s blessings and favors. There is no discrimination in this regard between men and women. It is righteousness and good deeds that elevates one’s rank in Jannah and exalts his/her position. In more than one Qur’anic verse, Allah, Most High, calls upon His servants to do their utmost in order to be favored with Paradise. For example, He says, (And vie one with another for forgiveness from your Lord, and for a Paradise as wide as are the heavens and the earth, prepared for those who ward off (evil). ) (Aal `Imran 3: 133)
The eminent Muslim scholar and renowned Da`iyah, Sheikh `Abdel Khaliq Hasan Ash-Shareef, states: “This is a grace from Allah. In Paradise everything will be changed. Some forbidden things in this wordly life will be permissible in Paradise. For example, wine is forbidden in this life but it is not prohibited in the hereafter. Men are not allowed to wear silk in this life but they will be allowed to wear it in the hereafter. We should leave all the issues of Paradise to the Knowledge of Allah bearing into consideration that each one in Paradise man or woman will find content and pleasure. All we need is to work hard and do loads of good deeds that will lead us to paradise. We should not think that Paradise looks like our life here. It is an entirely different life. We should not think about paradise in a lustful way or how many wives will the person have? There are many pleasures in paradise. The best of which is to be in a position in which you can see Allah the Almighty. ”
