Dr. Rif`at Fawzi, former professor of Shari`ah at Cairo Univ. , states: “There is nothing at all with a lady joining another in Salah in other to form a congregation and the Prayer is valid insha’ Allah. As soon as she joins in Prayer, the former changes her intention from offering an individual Prayer to a congregational one. There is nothing in the sources of Shari`ah to the effect that this is not correct.”
